Briargrove Animal Clinic has been providing top-quality care for Houston pets since 1960. We are a full-service clinic that offers medical care, surgery, dental care, and boarding for your cat or dog. Our staff has served a combined sixty years with our clinic; at Briargrove, people (and pets!) come first.

Dr. Kurtz grew up in Fayetteville, Texas, and attended Texas A&M for undergraduate and veterinary school. After working for a few years in New Jersey, she returned to Texas to join Briargrove Animal Clinic in 2011. Dr. Kurtz's veterinary interests include surgery, client education, and preventive medicine. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf, visiting her family's ranch in Fayetteville, and spending time with her husband, children, and Stealth, the family German Shepard.

Dr. Guilloud attended Texas A&M for undergraduate and veterinary school and joined Briargrove Animal Clinic in 1967. He enjoys getting to know people and their pets, and has helped thousands of puppies and kittens stay healthy into their later years. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and grandchildren, and caring for the small herd of cattle at his Brenham ranch.

Kathy was born in Houston at the Heights Hospital. She lived in San Francisco for awhile, where she worked at the Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum. She also paid many a visit to the wine country. Later she moved back to Houston to be with her family and was referred to Briargrove in 1995 by Dr. Smith's rotary friend. Kathy enjoys sailing, gardening, a healthy glass of wine, and her pets Bird, Stevie, and Rosie (pictured left).

Janna is Houston-born and joined the clinic in 2012. She enjoys helping people, educating clients, providing friendly service, and making people and their pets feel comfortable at the vet. She enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends, and spending time with her dog by taking her on walks. She is also currently studying Business at the University of Houston. Go Coogs!

Ray is from Houston and married to Sophie Bekiaris, who owns Balanced Brain Chiropractic in Sugar Land. He joined Briargrove in 1993 and loves working with the animals, educating clients, performing laboratory tests, and the people he works with. His hobbies include his aquarium and fish, cars, saltwater fishing, gardening and landscaping, pet sitting, and spending time with his wife.

Miguel is from Houston and has been with Briargrove since 2006. At the clinic he enjoys assisting during surgeries, dentals, and monitoring and treating hospitalized cases. In his spare time he likes to golf, go to the shooting range, follow baseball and football, playing guitar and drums, and boxing. He lives with his dog, a boxer named Duke.

Lilli has a B.S. in Animal Science from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, serves as an HLSR volunteer, and enjoys reading and playing video games. Her dog Penny is a miniature Aussie mix and loves going to the dog park.

Lillian hails from White Planes, New York, and has been living in Houston since 1989. She has one human daughter and a whole pack of canine/feline children.

Sherly was born and raised in Katy, Texas, and has a Yorkshire terrier named Milo. She enjoys traveling and playing the violin.

The office is closed on New Year's Day, the Saturday before Easter, Memorial Day and the Saturday before, July 4, Labor Day and the Saturday before, Thanksgiving Day and the Saturday after, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. We close at noon on New Year's Eve, Good Friday, and the Friday after Thanksgiving.
