Our Services
We offer routine bathing at Briargrove Animal Clinic, including medicated baths, nail trims, and summer clips or pets who need to be shaved for medical treatment.
We have limited boarding available. We offer boarding to our established clients with pets who are not a good fit for the general boarding facilities. This includes intact pets or pets with medical diseases that require additional monitoring and medication administration.
Dental health is an important part of your pet’s overall health and dental disease can lead to other health problems. Your pet’s teeth and gums should be checked by your veterinarian to check for early signs of a problem. Some common signs of dental disease include bad breath, inflamed gums, pain, swelling, itching, chewing on one side of their mouth, dropping food or refusing to chew crunchy food or treats. Our professional dental cleanings include teeth scaling, polishing, full mouth dental radiographs and an oral exam performed by the doctor, all while your pet is closely monitored and supported under anesthesia. Occasionally the oral exam and dental radiographs reveal dental disease significant enough to warrant periodontal therapy, sealant application or tooth extraction. Your pet’s doctor will discuss their findings with you and help you decide the best treatment option for you and your pet.
We are prepared to triage and stabilize most medical emergencies and perform diagnostics during our regular business hours. If your pet’s emergency requires continued, around-the-clock intensive care, we will help you choose the most appropriate referral veterinary hospital to transfer your pet.
Combined with a collar and current name tag, a microchip increases the likelihood of a lost pet being safely reunited with its owner. Placing a microchip is a quick procedure that can be done at any time. Microchips are more effective than collars and tags, which may fall off. Microchips save lives! Need to look up a lost pet’s microchip number? The AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool checks the databases of participating pet recovery services to determine which has registration information available for a microchip.
Briargrove Animal Clinic has an in-house pharmacy stocked with most commonly prescribed medications for your pet, including most heartworm, flea and tick preventions. Choosing the best diet for your pet can be difficult and confusing. Our veterinarians can help you choose the best dietary plan for your pet's individual needs.
Briargrove Animal Clinic utilizes high definition digital radiograph technology. All radiographs are reviewed by one of our doctors and for specific cases can utilize the services of a board certified veterinary radiologist.
Whether your pet needs a routine surgery or a life-saving surgical procedure, our veterinarians are committed to communicating with you through the entire process. At your pet’s pre-surgery consultation appointment, your veterinarian will review and discuss your pet’s anesthesia and surgery plan with you, answering all your questions. We utilize comprehensive anesthesia monitoring equipment for each pet undergoing surgery to minimize risk as much as possible. Our experienced veterinary technicians are with your pet, closely monitoring and caring for them, before, during and after their procedure to ensure they are safe, fear-free and pain-free. We go over at-home care instructions in depth, so you feel confident about taking care of your recovering pet at home after their procedure.
Ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging modality available at Briargrove Animal Clinic. With the help of ultrasound, we can screen your pet for solid tumors, internal bleeding, fluid accumulation or GI foreign bodies. We utilize the services of a mobile board certified veterinary radiologists weekly.
Our clinic places emphasis on regular wellness visits to ensure your pet maintains optimal health and happiness. During a wellness visit, your veterinarian will review and discuss your pet’s behavior, activity level, lifestyle, diet, dental care and parasite prevention program. Regular parasite screening and routine wellness bloodwork are important parts of your pet’s wellness visit because they aid in early detection of disease. A unique vaccination program tailored to your pet’s needs will be reviewed to ensure your pet stays up-to-date. All this is to provide optimum health and optimize quality of life.
